Our archivist found this excellent Acoustic Cafe appearance on a hard drive in February 2026. This is Episode 99 of Acoustic Cafe, meant for radio broadcast in the first week of December 1996. The live songs were recorded in April 1995. The host states (in track 1, below) Robyn would be filmed by Jonathan Demme "later this month" in New York City. In track 3, he says Demme is "putting the finishing touches" on the film - so it's possible this radio spot is a combination of clips he recorded at different times or he may simply have made a mistake. 30 years on, it's hard to know for sure.

A syndicated radio program called Acoustic Cafe is recorded in Ann Arbor, MI.
On 1995-04-14, Robyn Hitchcock played two shows at a venue called The Ark in Ann Arbor, MI. (Early show - Late show)
Since this is when he was in Ann Arbor we assume this is when he visited with Rob Reinhart and recorded the live performances that later appeared on the Acoustic Cafe radio programs.
The first portion was Show #26. We have a small portion of this show. We can hear the introduction of the song and the song itself (Arms of Love). We checked with the host of the show and have it on good authority that this is the complete Robyn-portion of the show.
The second portion was Show #27. We have the full 2-hour program.
The third portion was called the "Acoustic Cafe Spotlight" (see above).
