Notes

A user on Guitars 101 stated that this episode contains a performance of Arms of Love recorded in 1993 (and no interview was featured). The user indicated having encountered a CD labeled as follows:

"Acoustic Cafe, Ann Arbor, MI #26 (Week of 7/10-7/16/95) "Arms of Love"(live, recorded in 1993), No interview"

However, we believe the notation of 1993 is an error. Per Wikipedia, Acoustic Cafe did not start until 1995.* Assuming this song was recorded at a session for Acoustic Cafe, the session that produced this performance of "Arms of Love" took place in 1995 (We believe on April 14). See our entry for Episode 27 (aired the next week); the recording of Arms of Love played in Episode 26 was from the same 1995 session that was broadcast for Episode 27 in late July 1995. Based on conversations with the executive producer of Acoustic Cafe, it looks like all the songs were recorded in one session (apparently April 14 when Robyn and Deni were in Ann Arbor). Only certain songs were used on the air. For this 26th episode it appears only Arms of Love was used. Oddly, host Rob Reinhart remarks in his intro that the song was unreleased, yet it had come out in 1991 (live acoustic version) and 1993 ("Big beautiful overproduced studio version"). We guess this was simply a misunderstanding.

"Another little fun fact: Robyn requested to do a mix of the songs himself... in 1995, there was no other option but to ship the 1/2in. 8-track reel-to-reel tape to him in London for him to mix to DAT tape and return. It must've cost $200 round trip!"

*Info in the same link refers to Deni Bonet as "Lisa" Bonet, so... there you have it. Is it POSSIBLE Arms of Love was recorded in 1993 then used on Acoustic Cafe later? Anything is possible.
