Kimberley Rew desperately wanted to be a Beatle, then Eric Clapton.

In 1971 he moved to Cambridge, met Katrina and the Waves drummer Alex Cooper, and soon, his future wife and musical partner Lee Cave-Berry, and Soft Boy Robyn Hitchcock. The Soft Boys made albums A Can of Bees, then Underwater Moonlight (which infests coffee table books with titles like ‘500 Albums You Must Own’).

Robyn went solo in 1981. Alex Cooper introduced Rew to Waves Katrina Leskanich and Vince de la Cruz. Rew developed his 'British upbeat pop pub rock' songwriting style, leading to Katrina and the Waves and the 1985 single, the Rew penned Walking on Sunshine (which infests coffee table books with titles like ‘500 Singles You Must Own’) and 12 years of touring and major label recording, aargh!

In 1997 Katrina and the Waves won the Eurovision Song Contest with Love Shine a Light (another Rew composition).

In 1998 Rew teamed up with his singing, songwriting and bass playing wife Lee Cave-Berry to form Kim and Lee. They were also both 20 year members of Cambridgeshire rock band Jack until the death of lead singer Roger Smith, and 12 years and counting members of John Wright's Wednesday Session house band, infesting various Cambridgeshire pubs.

Join Rew on his OMG... really? birthday for a wide ranging raft of musical treats for all ages from all stages along his musical journey.

Robyn dubbed the band (Robyn, Kim, Morris and Lee) "The Soft Boys Mark IV".
