A lot of these old chestnuts had expanded guitar arrangements which were super nifty. A lot of fancy inversions and noodley bits going on in Trains and Lysander in particular. So cool.
He showed off his new shoes "sprayed, so very clean" - we discussed the defunct Annapolis railway station (lol), Tubby and Ringo (and of course quiff gel and Bryan Ferry), and apparently he lived or hung out in Annapolis for a time with Cynthia back in 1991 (they saw Terminator 2 there in the movie theater).
Glad I made the drive! Our man was in fine form.

Last time I saw Robyn, in 2019, the first song was “Only the Stones Remain.” Tonight, it was the last song. Alpha and omega, that.
Best part of the evening: Chris Huff and I exchanging knowing looks during the “Mucky the Pig” line in “Queen of Eyes.”
Also, “Lysander” and “Ride.” Thinking that RH reposting that 1991 chart has Perspex Island on his mind. A ton of 1989-91 content in general. And an all-RH-songs encore - no jug-band Christmas!
