From the Wild Hare Club websiteRobyn has played two Wild Hare Club shows, one solo acoustic at The Black Lion and
an electric show at The Green Dragon Hotel with The Psychedelic Trams, a line-up that played a handful of gigs at most and was comprised of 3 original Soft Boys and supplemented by a two man horn section.
Here's a snippet about the Hereford gig from Anton Barbeau's newsletter:
Went to Hereford wiff a gang of dear mates to catch a wonderful Robyn Hitchcock gig on Solstice. Dance fever, of all things! Kim was ever- brilliant, and it's so clear how much Robyn loves playing guitar with him. All recent Robyn gigs I've seen have been odd one-offs, themed charity gigs at the Three Kings pub, and as wonderful as they were, I
was keen to catch a "classic" RH set. Well, I'm not complaining a drop, but I didn't expect to see the band in such full disco mode. That's if you consider "Pigworker" to be on the groove-matron side of things, I suppose. Loads of Soft Boys tunes and the encores were "Savoy Truffle" and "Old Brown Shoe." I swear the world is going more and more George all the time!
