Secret gig.
With Robyn in town to play Bumbershoot a couple of nights later, he and his pal Grant Lee Phillips dropped in unannounced (but whispered) to their favorite watering hole in Seattle. Having heard the whisper, JEMS set up a discrete rig right in front of the duo who performed unamplifed. The result is a charming, surprisingly focused performance that visits material from both artists along with some choice covers before an assembled throng of perhaps 25.
