The Two Bells Tavern, site of multiple Robyn secret gigs,
closed December 31, 2017. The building dates to the presidency of Warren G. Harding, beginning life as Hewitt's Cafe in 1923. Later, it was the Congress Tavern. It first appeared as Two Bells in the 1941 edition of Polk Guides.
Under proprietor Patricia McGuiness Ryan, from 1982 to 1999, Two Bells became a cultural gathering place in a reviving Belltown.
Owner Jeff Lee kept it as-is in years since. The food and funkiness made Two Bells a favorite place for journalists to take authors visiting Seattle, as an escape from hotel ambiance and hotel food.
The lot where it stood was still vacant as of July 2021 per Google Street View
