Double bill with Jonathan Richman. The ticket identifies the event as "RichHitch" for short.

Per a posting on the old Feg mailing list from this time, First Avenue suddenly closed when its owner filed for bankruptcy - this was a day or two before the scheduled Jonathan Richman / Robyn show.
It seems that the show was moved to Cedar Cultural Center because of this.

I saw Robyn's show at the Cedar Cultural Center last night in Minneapolis. When my friend and I got to the venue Robyn was walking around passing out stickers to fans.
During his performance it seemed like he wanted to really lift the spirit of the crowd who were dealing with both the post election blues, and the sudden and hopefully temporary closing of 1st Avenue.

The Man Who Invented Himself (on piano, he joked afterwards about his piano playing ability by commenting that his girlfriend won't come to his shows when he plays piano)

I'm going to try and make the 5 O'clock in-store today, which is just a few blocks away from where I work.
Also Robyn announced that he would play a gig for free tonight at some coffee house to "cheer us up." At the end of the show it was announced that it would be at the Kitty Cat Club. There are plenty of
opportunities to see him live as he passes through the twin cities this time around.

What a great show last night. Lots of weird energy from the election (obviously) and the closing of First Ave. Nice introductions from Steve McClellan (the soul of First Ave.). I'm sure others will cover it better, but some highlights for me were I Got The Hots, The Pres and The Man on friggin' piano, man! I seen 15+ Robyn shows and heard probably 50 more and I've only seen him play piano once in 1989 (The Man and Executioner). Only let downs were no Dylan and no duets with JoJo.
