Nightclub 9:30 - more often referred to as the 9:30 Club or simply the 9:30, so named for its former street address at 930 F street, leading also to its nightly opening time of 9:30 PM - opened in 1980 on the site of the previous club, Atlantis. The original iconic location closed its doors on December 31, 1995; Robyn played there a dozen times. On January 5, 1996 it moved to its much larger present location (815 V Street NW). Very near to the new venue is The Atlantis, a sort of nostalgic remake of the old 9:30.
