The previously shuttered and much-missed downtown music venue formerly known as La Zona Rosa is coming back with a facelift, . Now going by the abbreviated if still very similar name LZR, the resurrected event, office, and venue space will return to the Austin fold with programming very shortly.
In case you'd forgotten (or never knew at all), the last person to perform at the official La Zona Rosa was none other than American icon Prince back in 2013. So yeah, La Zona Rosa was (and will again be) an important spot in the Austin music scene at large.
