Notes
Info from venue website In September 2018, the team behind Village Underground in Shoreditch reopened a derelict cinema in Dalston. The former Savoy Cinema, built in 1936, has been given a new lease of life as a cultural centre comprising of three spaces: EartH Hall, EartH Theatre, and EartH Kitchen.
The three distinct areas have hosted many day and night-time purposes from comedy and debates, to music performances from internationally-spanning genres, to meet-ups and markets.
EartH Theatre - Our 680-capacity tiered seated venue, built originally as a cinema in the 1930s, retains its original Art Deco features. See everything from gigs, to talks, screenings, and comedy in our multi-arts space. EartH Hall - The lower ground of our venue is a 1,200 capacity gig venue, which also regularly hosts weekend markets and late night parties. EartH Kitchen - A 300-capacity space with neon-lit bar and state-of-the-art kitchen, perfect for pre- or post-event drinks, which also hosts free events showcasing up-and-coming artists and meet-ups + events for local groups in the daytime.
