Pub La Calle was an emblematic venue, a meeting point for hundreds of live music consumers, live music lovers who for just over a decade (between 1988 and 2000) enjoyed this legendary space located in the area. Port of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria of a concert circuit that finally put the capital of Gran Canaria on par with some of the most important cities in the country. The best national bands of the moment performed on its stage - from Siniestro Total, Extremoduro, Los Suaves, Obús, Tahúres Zurdos, Dover, M-Clan, Los Rodríguez -, cult bands such as Los Enemigos, Del Tonos, Marañones or El Inquilino Communist; leading international groups and artists such as The Godfathers, Elliot Murphy, Robyn Hitchcock, Long Ryders, The Yardbirs; emerging local bands... A venue that was a true reference for the city and that was able to place Las Palmas de Gran Canaria on the map of alternative music, on the agendas of national and international rock programmers.
