Here’s another outtake from my upcoming album, release date TBA. Written mostly in a back garden guesthouse in Los Angeles last summer, I think I was trying to channel Arthur Lee, but it turned out more Beatles-orientated. Either way, it’s a love song, pun intended.
It features my core Nashville band of Jeremy Fetzer on guitar, Todd Bolden on bass, and Eric Slick on drums.
Footprints in sand get washed away, unless they’re lucky enough to be fossilised. Footprints in cement last awhile, though you don’t want to get too encased in cement. Footprints in time are how we follow each other from one life to the next. Well, I’d like to think so…
