Cats are wonderful confidants. You can tell a cat anything. A cat can absorb the darkest of secrets, the bleakest of fears into themselves and reveal not a trace, being the furry enigmas they are. I try not to burden our cats Tubby and Ringo with too much overspill from my toxic psyche, but they nonetheless absorb my moods and leave me feeling cleansed. They’re feline air-filters of the emotions. Here is a brooding ode to Dr Tubby Vincent, my psychic counsellor.
