From Robyn on Patreon in 2023 You see them all the time, in crowds, in shoals, in flocks, in packs: lustrous orbs that reflect the world even as they absorb it. That’s eyes to you and me, buddy. I saw somebody making their face up in a tiny round pocket mirror held close to their face on a London Underground train, and began composing this song - but by the end it was about somebody else. Songs, like dreams, shift their focus constantly: but once a song is out of you and into the world, it doesn’t age any more than Jupiter does. Or that’s the way it seems…
I hope this song makes it onto the new record - there’ll be a few tweaks and shavings but it’s almost there. You heard it here first, folks!
