On this day (10/5) in 1991, Robyn Hitchcock & The Egyptians performed live on WHTG, along with an interview by DJ Brian Billy. They were doing a U.S. promotional tour of radio stations to promote their new album Perspex Island, which had been released on August 6, 1991.
Songs performed included:
--"Ultra Unbelievable Love"
--"Alright Yeah" (which was not on Perspex Island but would be released as the B-side to the "Driving Aloud" single in 1992)
--"Silence of the Damaged Rays" (a song that apparently remains unreleased)
