Robyn Hitchcock, Author of '1967': How I Got There and Why I Never Left, in conversation with Jonathan Lethem
Join rock 'n' roll icon Robyn Hitchcock as he discusses his new memoir with novelist Jonathan Lethem. Hitchcock will discuss one of the single most defining years in his life — 1967 — and how it molded his future in music.
In the Edison Auditorium
This was a conversation only, Robyn did not play any music.

Here I am at the LA Times Festival of Books with the legendary writer Jonathan Lethem. He and I were in conversation in the green pastures of the University of Southern California, a few traffic jams away from Hollywood. It was great to finally meet Jonathan; we’re both familiar with each other’s work. Officially we were discussing my book “1967: How I Got There and Why I Never Left”, but the dialogue spread as usual across the enchanted lake of psychedelia, and up the slopes of Mount Dylan. Thanks to Akashic Books for arranging the event, and the folks at the Festival for letting it happen. Viva!
