To celebrate a fantastic year of Yarra gigs we asked all the staff to name their top three shows of 2014. Most were uneasy about playing favourites but after some coercion here is what we came up with:
Nick Kerton – bar person
Robyn Hitchcock & Emma Swift: To my discredit, I was only vaguely familiar with Robyn Hitchcock's music, but his show really impressed me. The songs are amazing, really great arrangements and vocal melodies. The Abbotsford 3 were ace as the backing band and Emma Swift really lifted the songs with great harmonies.
